Work and Teaching Experience

Dr. K. Srawant, had done his MBBS from KMC – Manipal and Dr.N.B (direct 6 years) Neurosurgery from Manipal Hospital, Bangalore.

Over the term of his training and working as a consultant, he has experience of nearly 1500 surgeries. He is trained in Cerebro vascular surgery, Neuro-endoscopy, Neuro-navigation, Paediatric Neurosurgery and Minimally invasive neurosurgery along with Spine surgery and Brain tumour surgeries.

He has been practicing neurosurgery in Vizag since 2019. He is a visiting consultant at various super specialty hospitals of Vizag. He is also working as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at MIMS Vizianagaram.

He his highly motivated and passionate about his work. He is on a mission – “To develop a highly sophisticated and integrated neurosciences facility and bring the best of neuro care to the city of destiny.”

As the first step in this mission, he along with his father Dr.K.Sridhar have established Apex IONS (Institute of Neurosciences) hospital in 2021 as a centre of excellence in neurosurgery.

Equipped with the latest state of the art equipment, he performs all kinds of neurosurgical procedures including minimally invasive surgeries, complex brain tumors, cerebrovascular surgeries and spine surgeries
